Honeymoon
From the wedding we headed out on our honeymoon. It was a blast! We stopped by Niagara Falls, and Bennington VT on our way to Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island, ME.
It was great out there. We'd both wanted to go to ME for the rocky coastline, ocean, etc... It was very photogenic, of course, and since we were there in the off season, there were far fewer people, and the rates were much better. Highlights included a hotel room overlooking the ocean, watching the sunrise from Cadillac Mountain (first place in US to see the sunrise), seeing the wildlife, hiking Precipice trail, and watching the ocean when the remnants of Hurricane Noel pulled in.
Sunday morning at 5:30 we got up and headed down to New Jersey to catch the evening service in Pastor Lipsy's church. Then the Lipsy's invited us over to spend the night, and we had a great time visiting, telling stories, and playing music.
Monday, we met down Atillio in Central Park, NY City to go tour the city. Driving and parking there was a tour in itself! Then we took a ferry to Staton Isand, dined in Little Italy, saw the city lights from the Empire State Building, and walked through Grand Central Station.
From there, we went to Boston. The city had a better "feel" to it than NYC, and after we'd been there, navigating Boston was a walk in the park. We saw the Mayflower II, toured the "New" Capitol Building, saw some old graveyards, Paul Revere's house, and lots of cute little street side shops.
Two weeks of touring is quite enough for us, so we headed on home via Grandma's house (for a surprise birthday party for Rochelle), and Andrew and Lea's house.
And now, we're at home, sweet home, and have finally gotten a chance to edit and post a few pics. As usual, there are more at: http://flickr.com/photos/10589600@N00/
Enjoy!
